Black Angus T-Bone Steaks are premium cuts of beef from Black Angus cattle featuring a distinctive T-shaped bone that separates two tender, flavorful steaks – the Tenderloin and the New York Strip Loin – with exceptional marbling, tenderness and rich flavor characteristic of Black Angus Beef.
The T-Bone Steak is named after the prominent T-shaped bone running through the center of the cut. this bone divides the steak into two sections.
This steak comes from the short loin section of the cattle, making it a composite of two different textures and flavor profiles in one cut. The T-Bone is well-marbled, meaning thin streaks of fat run through the meat, enhancing juiciness, flavor and tenderness during cooking.
Where this cut comes from
The area below the backbone is home to some tender and popular cuts of beef, such as the Tenderloin, Strip Steak, T-Bone and Porterhouse Steaks. Loin cuts are great prepared on the grill or under a broiler.
