Cold Cuts

Cold Cuts, also known as deli meats, luncheon meats or sliced meats are primarily made from beef, pork, poultry, and sometimes lamb or fish.  They are designed to be served cold or at room temperature and are often seasoned, smoked, cured or boiled to enhance flavor, preserve freshness, and extend shelf life.  Some cold cuts may contain spices, flavorings or fillers such as starch or soy protein to improve texture or reduce costs.
